The video touches on the computational simulation and analysis for design of the roll forming process. It then explains that the roll stands progressively work the material in steps to achieve the final profile shape desired.
We are shown a manual feed roll forming set-up made of 6 roll stands where the roll forming process forms a simple V-shaped profile from the strip material. Spring back is also discussed and the need for over bending the material to achieve the desired profile.
